Frequently Asked Questions

I just got engaged, and I do not know where to start to choose my wedding bouquet…any advice?

First, think of the blooms, as well as the colors, you already love. There are so many varieties of flowers and shades of colors to choose from. Colors similar in tone, as well as contrasting colors, are two elegant ways to plan your flowers. Also, research wedding flowers! Look in magazines, Look in Books, Look online! The Internet is a great place for getting ideas.

Next, pick your theme! You can go simple, using one particular bloom throughout the wedding, such as Gardenias. Or you can use pink ‘Hot Princess’ roses, with feathers, or crystals to give a glamorous feel to your reception flowers. You can also base your bouquets and arrangements around your venue, especially if it’s a historic place! More FAQ’s below.

What is a Wedding Consultation?

After viewing this website, you may always make an appointment for a consultation. A consultation is a meeting to discuss your budget, ideas, and expectations. The more information you give a florist, the better; I will have a good understanding of your style, or the ‘look’ you want to achieve. If you are unsure of what you want for your Bridal bouquet, even for your reception flowers, do not worry. I will do my best to inspire you with ideas.

What do I bring for my wedding consultation?

If possible, bring me a picture of types of flowers or bouquets that you have researched that you would like to see in your wedding. You may also bring me swatches of colors, such as bridesmaid’s dress swatch, so I can match flowers, as well as ribbon colors, to your colors. Lastly, and my favorite, bring me a picture of your wedding dress!

What is a Wedding Proposal?

A proposal describes everything we discussed when you came in for your consultation or from our online discussions. It describes the type of flowers used for your wedding party, ceremony and reception. The prices of each arrangement are included as well as the total cost of your wedding flowers and deposit amount. Changes or additions may be made to this proposal.

How do I Book you as my Florist?

After you have found you are happy with your proposal, I will send you the wedding contract for you to sign and enclose with your deposit. This reserves your wedding date with me.

Do you have a retail shop?

I have a workshop in Winter Springs where I do the majority of my wedding work. Unfortunately, at this time it is not open to the public.

Where do I meet you for our first consultation?

I find that the relaxed setting of the Barney’s Coffee shop in Winter Springs provides a comfortable venue to meet and discuss the plans for your day.
